Four teams from the Huws Gray Alliance League had a successful weekend of football by progressing to the Welsh Cup Quarter Finals.
Caernarfon Town progressed into the quarter final of the Welsh cup after winning 1-0 in extra time after a 2-2 draw in 90 minutes. Substitute Carl Owen scoring the winner late into extra time, other goals came from Danny Sullivan and Nathan Craig (pen) taking the game to extra time.
Prestatyn Town stormed into the next round thanks to an excellent 5-1 win at Aberystwyth, they lead two nil at the break thanks to an own goal and one from Noah Edwards and a second half hatrick from James Stead saw them comfortably progress
James Davies was another hatrick hero as Llanfair United made history by reaching the quarter finals of the Welsh Cup for the first time after a 4-1 win over Cefn Druids, Alun Hughes netting their fourth.
Guilsfield also booked their place into the quarter final after beating Cardiff met 4-2 with all the goals coming in the first half, Robbie James, Louis Irvine, Andy Ford and a Emlyn Lewis own goal on target for the Guils.
The draw for the next round has been made and will be played on the weekend of 25-26 February.
